The New Bionic Woman: A Quick Review

The Bionic Women debuted on NBC last night. Here's a three-letter review: zzz.

With bad dialogue and none of the campy fun of the original, I wouldn't expect this dog to last a season. Unless changes are made.

Where is tennis pro Jamie Sommers when you need her?

I think it's time to hire some writers with bionic-like abilities to write dialogue that doesn't sound completely phoney.

I Miss Having Ratherisms

I hope Dan Rather gets every single penny of his $70 million lawsuit against CBS. And I'm still waiting for someone to provide firm evidence that what CBS reported about George Bush during the 2004 election wasn't true.

And for this Rather was fired and forced to apologize? The result: The worst president in history was re-elected as voters took the eye off the ball and bought into the Bush-Cheney '04 smokescreens.

Besides, I miss Ratherisms.

This lawsuit is hotter than a Times Square Rolex.

Now that "Evil Dick" has won Big Brother 8, proving that flatulence, rudeness, belching and vituperative behavior can be rewarded with a big pay day, it's time for some end-of-summer reading.

That said, if given a choice between voting for Dick or his daughter Danielle as the winner of Big Brother 8, I think I'd vote for ... Ross Perot.

Truth: Stranger Than Fiction

Will U.S. Sen. Larry Craig wind up resigning? It has journalists questioning whether he is (ahem) in or out.

In the comments, I'm taking nominations for who should play Larry Craig in the movie. My choice is ... Bea Arthur. My second choice is Fred Thompson.

Don't You Just Love Headline Writers?

"Stall Tactics." From earlier tonight -- as in five minutes ago -- on MSNBC.

Ring, Ring: Phony McFakerson (AKA Larry Craig) Dials A Wrong Number

Listen to the phone mail message he thought he was leaving for his lawyer just before he announced his "intent" to resign last weekend.

Fall

One of the characters in The Office is promising to be "30 percent more unpredictable" in the coming season. You can find out which one by watching this:

The Bourne Ultimatum: Everything But A Chicken Fight

... went to see The Bourne Ultimatum last week. Good movie, but one of the action-packed scenes made me laugh (unintentionally) because it reminded me of this:
