I still think that Huckabee will get the nomination, but he isn't the big winner in Iowa. Obama is truly the big winner.
Iowa is a fairly conservative state. No huge urban centers and an almost completely white voter base.
For a conservative, evangelical to win in a conservative state is not big news....for a black man from a big urban center to win in a rural, conservative state is pretty big news and shows that Obama can generate not just enthusiasm but real action amoung a large group of people that have never participated in their confusing polictal primary process.
I'm an ex-pamphleteer turned blogger who provides tightly-focused niche coverage of movies, TV, politics and kittens. I don't discrimate against people based on race, religion, sexual preference or your level of stupidity. Occassionally, I also blog on sports, history, Britney Spears and Abe Lincoln. My lover's name is Wally, and although he seems a little embarassed by this blog, he never really says so when he's sober.

Huckabee! YIKES. Be afraid. Be very afraid. I'm totally psyched about Obama, on the other hand!
