The Holy Weak

In honor of Holy Week, here's an Easter remembrance of four modern money-changers in the electronic temple we know as television.

Although a resurrected Jesus wasn't around to cast these souls out of the temple, we are fortunate that media reporting was able to accomplish the exact same thing.

"The God that holds you over the pit of hell, much as one holds a spider, or some loathsome insect over the fire, abhors you, and is dreadfully provoked: his wrath towards you burns like fire; he looks upon you as worthy of nothing else, but to be cast into the fire; he is of purer eyes than to bear to have you in his sight; you are ten thousand times more abominable in his eyes, than the most hateful venomous serpent is in ours."
-- Rev. Jonathon Edwards, from his sermon Sinners in the Hand of An Angry God, July 1741.

"Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy."
-- Jesus, Sermon on the Mount

I *heart* Jesus. Happy Easter.
