Quote of the Day

Minister Ted Haggard, in the news last year for his love of gay sex and crystal meth, is back in the news today. Here's a slice of the story:

"You know all the surveys say that evangelicals have the best sex life of any other group," Mr. Haggard says slyly to the camera, to which the effusive Ms. Pelosi responds, "No way." Mr. Haggard then asks a parishioner at his 14,000-member church how often he has sex with his wife. The man says: "Every day. Twice a day."

The Pelosi referenced in the story, by the way, is the daughter of Nancy Pelosi, who has a film on evangelicals that will run on HBO later this month. It was filmed before the Haggard-Jones Affair became public. Full story here.

It makes sense, I guess, that some Christians like to do a lot more than just pray when they get on their knees. They put on (and take off) their pants one leg at a time, just like we all do.
